That prostitution is not about some wild disobedient young person who chose to be disgusting for the sake of money and is therefore distant from my family.
That people around me might very well get involved as workers or customers and might even now.
That good kids with servants' hearts might be very susceptible to being manipulated into this.
That people who are already wounded by different kinds of abuse are again the obvious targets to be taken advantage of by predators with money on their minds.
That getting out of prostitution is not a simple about face but a long arduous journey of recovery of years duration if the person survives at all.
That, knowing what we now know of what is going on, it is impossible for churches and communities to deny any responsibility if we are to be in integrity.
That the controlling person has access to mind control techniques, chemicals, intimidation, violence and a network of people which makes escape almost impossible.
That chemicals are used to numb the pain and deep damage build up over years.
That there is plentyi of room for nonsense out there, leaving potential users with the situation where whoever they are, they can take advantage with impunity.
That intervention, being very hard and very costly, does little to diminish the numbers being hurt because the pimping people can just go and get others involved.
That many young people and young women are often "easy pickings".
That the consequences are so destructive, degrading and debilitating.
That family members really get burned bad by all this and live with a lot of pain and helplessness for years.
