Attorney General reports on juvenile prostitution

"As Attorney General and a father of three girls I want to protect our children from sexual predators and exploitation. We may not be able to save every child or teen, but we have to try. Changing our enforcement techniques, increasing awareness, and improving our prevention efforts are just the beginning."

-- Attorney General Mike Hatch

This is a quote from The Hofstede Committee Report: Juvenile Prostitution in Minnesota, released in November 1999 by the Minnesota Attorney General's office. The 23-page report outlines the dangers of juvenile prostitution, the sex industry in Minnesota and worldwide, past and current efforts to end prostitution, and recommendations to help prevent juvenile prostitution. A-STOP is listed on the cover as one of the groups which provided technical and information support.

For a copy of the report, call the Attorney General's office at (800) 657-3787 or visit their website at www.ag.state.mn.us.

In 2002 our organization changed its name to Adults Saving Kids. Prior to that we were called A-STOP (Alliance for Speaking Truths On Prostitution), STOP (Speaking Truths On Prostitution), or Grassroots Ministry Alliance.
