Prayer is the foundation in building a wall of safety for the children in your congregation and community. Adults Saving Kids encourages congregations to establish a prayer ministry through which every child in a congregation is prayed for by name, intentionally and daily, by an adult in the congregation. Adults Saving Kids refers to this ministry as Prayer Project Lifesaver. As you consider establishing this ministry, we recommend that a team of four people begin to pray for a period of 31 days (see 31 Days of Prayer pdf document). This prayer is designed around the idea that no ministry ought to begin a congregation without first being considered through prayer. We recommend a team of four people pray for four minutes a day, and that they speak weekly with a selected team prayer team leader.

Prayer Project Lifesaver itself is started and maintained by a team of people committed to establishing this ministry as part of the life of the congregation. Adults Saving Kids has developed a training to help people understand how the sex industry lures our vulnerable children and offers the Prayer Project Lifesaver Resource Guide to assist people in developing this ministry in their congregations. Follow the links below to view scriptural reasons why we ought to be praying for our children, sample prayers from the Resource Guide that you might say for a child in your congregation, and prayers parents might say for their own children.
